Last week's winner: #91, Grace!
Here's what Siriana has to say:
Inspired by Mia Wasikowska's portrayal of Alice in the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland it features a pocket with 'Believe' hand stitched in blue thread and many other places and pockets for the imaginative person to leave prayer reminders, quotes, fortunes from a fortune cookie or other mementos and keep sakes. The possibilities are endless.
Includes 37 faux-pearl headed pins to keep everything in place, a tag reading 'The Forgotten Corner presents The Wonderland Collection: Alice', a slip of parchment reading 'Believe' as an example of a pocket and piece of parchment with a quote from the movie: "Sometimes I believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast. -Alice'.
Coming Soon to The Forgotten Corner Etsy Shop: more inspired by Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the White and Red Queens.
Each board is unique and different from the last and can't be found anywhere else.
Measures approximately 5" by 9".
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I'm a student creating a job for myself in a place where I wouldn't have one otherwise.
Making my way and my mark in the world one creation at a time.
I am 16 years old and living in what I like to call "The Forgotten Corner".
Where I live isn't the end of the world, but we can see it from here.
My parents and I are in agreement that having to earn the money to pay for the things I want is a good way to go.
Seeing as there aren't a lot of jobs for someone my age available where I live and being that I have always enjoyed all different kinds of art and creating things I decided to open up an etsy shop online, with a physical shoppe opening locally sometime this summer. My etsy shop also includes items created by my family and I plan on taking other artists creations on consignment when I open my local shoppe.
What do you most enjoy creating? I think whatever my inspiration is to create. I have my hand in lots of different creations, I'm a photographer, I sew, I bead and lots of things in between!
What inspires you? I draw inspiration from really everything around me. The music I listen to, the media I watch it all comes through in my work. Where I live is a beautiful place and all the nature is definitely that comes through in my work.
Lately one of my favorite films is Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and I've made a few different things that are rather wonderland inspired. Launching the release of what I am calling "The Wonderland Collection" which is going to be a series of my original memory boards that are inspired by characters such as Alice, The Red Queen, The White Queen, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Wonderland in general and many more.
