FASHION // measuring a summer's day

I'm learning how to play Tangerine by Led Zeppelin on the guitar. Poor abused guitar, it's been sitting unused for over a year getting all dusty. Now I'm picking it back up again, and my bass too. My fingers are scolding me for it, but it's the price to pay, I suppose.

I'm very proud of my headband here. I had some scraps of calfskin leather that I cut into strips, but I had to keep interweaving new strips because they were too short to go all the way around. I also made myself a little bracelet (the dark band on my wrist to the right of the photo «««). I'm steadily building my Summer Bracelet Collection back up. Slowly, yes, but steadily. I refuse to wear long sleeves. REFUSE, I tell you. I'm going to force spring into submission. Force it to stop being winter and go into summer.

I guess that's kind of it. My life hasn't been very exciting lately, except for the millions of "you look like a hippie" comments I got at school. Yeah, people, that's kind of the point. Honestly.

I had a lot of fun with makeup today. All from SweetPeaAndFay, I used a swipe of white from the inner corner of my eye all the way across, then some copper on the upper part of my lid, and a little bit of dark blue in the outer corners. The only bad part is that the white got on my lashes... will have to work on that.

I really ought to do a makeup tutorial post sometime. What do you guys think?
