LIFE // the dream
I had a dream last night that I was a scientist surrounded by test tubes. I drank one and my laboratory became a greenhouse full of flowers. I wandered a bit, clad in a white lab coat that accumulated more and more dirt stains the farther I walked, and found the greenhouse faded into an orchard surrounded by stained glass. Apples hung from the boughs of the trees. I ate a blue one and the scene changed again, I was swimming in cold green water. The waved buffeted me up to the surface and I started singing a siren's song. A boat came by and I climbed a ladder onto the deck. They wrapped me in a fluffy white towel and sent me below, where I was given a Victorian-era silk dress to change into. I awoke when we reached a tropical land where the air smelled like spices.

cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably the best dream ever :))

Haha! That totally sounds like something I would dream.
ReplyDeleteyes. ♥
ReplyDeleteawesome. it's so Narnia like :).
ReplyDeleteI wish I had dreams like that! All I dream is emotionless. No bright colors or anything. All though my dreams are normally very wierd, mine sound really boring compared to yours!
ReplyDeleteDid you take that picture? Its really cool.
:)
That's a little bit eery. I have dreams that are a cross between Alice in Wonderland and the Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a dream! I wish I remember my dreams, I never do!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the most amazing dream I have ever heard!
ReplyDeleteI never remember my dreams. :(
How did you take that photo? :)
The photo is a blend of a self-portrait and two backgrounds from Ruche.
ReplyDeleteSo vivid! I have never had a dream where I was able to smell anything :(
ReplyDeletehaha, that seriously sounds like a book I've read. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. That dream is weirdly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cool dream. I always have the weirdest dreams. Like I've done something really bad and the bad guys are out to get me. Or we're getting bombed.
ReplyDeleteP.S I am a different Katie then the ones above. :)
ReplyDeleteCoolest double exposure picture ever. Or whatever that is. I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh,why can't I have a weird and awesome dreams like that. Mine are only weird or awesome never both at once. ;) You should do a tutorial on how to do a photo like the one in the post.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have dreams like that :)
ReplyDeleteThat dream? Epic. My dreams? Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteWhat music were you listening too before you fell asleep?
ReplyDelete*to, I mean.
ReplyDeleteWhoa. Sounds like you died peacefully in your sleep and went to heaven.
ReplyDeleteCool. Lucky you. I have dreams about boring things unlike you.
ReplyDeletemmhmm. i see.
ReplyDeleteCool
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting dream, Olivia! I've never had any as vivid as this. I can't even smell in my dreams. :)
ReplyDelete@ Hazelnut, I usually can't either. That's sort of why this one stuck with me.
ReplyDeletewow that is certainly the most vivid dream!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a pretty amazing dream.. I never remember mine. All I know is a lot of times I half wake up and then force myself back to sleep so I can finish my dream... and then immediately forget it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely dream! Can I have some of whatever was in that test tube? ;)
ReplyDeleteI never dream. Well I do. But not when I'm sleeping. I know. It's quite sad that I can't and don't dream. On a verrryyy rare occasion, I'll have a not-so-weird dream. Like a dream that I'm just picking up a book. I know -- boring. ANYWAY! Love this post -- and that picture = gorgeous perfection.
ReplyDeletelovely design. <3
ReplyDeleteSo, I was just making my daily visit to your lovely blog and I noticed your new design -- beautiful! (And no, I'm not just saying that because we have similar headers ;)). It might just be my favorite. The chevron background and dreamy colors complete it perfectly.
ReplyDeletelol. i love weird dreams.
