But people who've been around for a year or so may recall my more bohemian style last summer.
Here's the thing: I don't like defining my sense of style because it's ever-cycling.
Since we live in Maine, black and leggings and long skirts and baggy sweaters are brilliant in the winter, so during the school year I'm definitively grungier.
During the summer, I take a break from all-black — I still do wear quite a bit of black in the summer, but I also mix in floral prints and chevrons and tribal patterns and things like that.
THIS shirt, which I snagged recently, is a good representation of my style. In the winter, I'd put it with a long black skirt and some combat boots. In the summer, something like THESE shorts and THESE boots (which I also got recently at a yard sale, along with a super-fancy and amazing Polaroid camera you may have seen if you follow me on Tumblr), with loads of bracelets and a circlet in my hair, would make it more bohemian and hippie and chill.
Oh look, I found a picture I posted on Tumblr wearing the shirt...
And this is the camera, while we're there.
So without further ado, I present to you A PIC DUMP.
I don't have sources since 99% of these are from tumblr, so I beg the pardons of the original posters.
I got some glasses like these while out with the boy and the cashier dude said I looked like Yoko Ono... I just turned to Conor and was like WARN YOUR BAND AND NEVER LET THE PAST REPEAT ITSELF |
lovely pics! just so you know, pics 2,3,4,and 5 are by a photographer called Julia Trotti. xx
ReplyDeleteThe last picture is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI never know what to 'define' my style as. I can go from casual to preppy, boho to edgy/grungy, to typical "Mom wear" of jeans and a T lol.

Awesome!! At the moment I am kind of a mix of Hipster, indie, urban, contemporary and boho. Do you have different style tastes too?? :)
ReplyDeleteI go to school in Vermont, so I basically live in leggings and sweaters during the winter, too. It's nice coming home to California in the summer where I can actually play with clothes a little more. :)
