I was out collecting the millions of sticks that seem to have rained down on out yard and made it impossible to mow the lawn the other day when I saw this little fellow peckpeckpecking an old birch tree. Of course I ran inside and grabbed my camera... half an hour and 385 photos later, here are the results.
I got right up close to him, and he still didn't budge from his tree. He was very determined!

That sounds like a serious woodpecker! Oh, and was that blue background part of your Winter theme? I came on earlier and the background was blue with a design on it....
