LIFE // commonground

Have you heard of the Commonground Fair? No? It's okay, most people haven't. Here is everything you need to know:

Hundreds and hundreds of hippies.

That's all you need to know.

So I went with my good friend Emily... we wandered around and took photos of the animals and the tents and all the crafts people were making.

RABBIT FEET

it was like a million degrees, all the bunnies were stretched out and adorable.

IRONY

And there were these crazy activist people who made very intricate posters. They're all about crushing GMOs/Monsanto and getting the military out of Latin America and free trade and all these zillions of topics. These are their prints on cloth... they also had them on these (big!) paper posters that technically didn't even cost anything. You just donated as much as you wanted. It was awesome, I got three and they're up in my room.

We got incense and anti-war buttons and I got licked by goats and it was great. My room smells like sandalwood now — or, as my mother said, "oh my god it smells like a hippie palace in here."

Straight out of camera: DEMON GOAT.

  6. great post :) I looooooooove your shirt. And the video was great. I got really excited when it came on because of the song (although I really shouldn't have been excited considering I listen to it on repeat basically all the time).
