I haven’t been since I was about six — maybe younger — so I was totally excited. My grandfather and his wife Pam had given me this trip for my birthday back in October, and yesterday we began our journey.
My grandfather picked me up and we drove down to Kennebunk. He’s an architect and one of his clients was contemplating buying a house there, and she wanted his opinion. Well, I know MINE: It was beautiful and old and full of ghosts and I totally want to live there. Of course I entered armed with my camera and my camcorder!
This is the video/vlog from yesterday. After the exciting house experience, we drove down to Boston, where Pam has an apartment.
Bright and early the next day (eating on the road) we left for New York. We went to the Fashion Institute of Technology... and then we're about to go see the play War Horse in Lincoln Center.
My outfit for FIT. I figure that was long as I’m in New York I may as well dress as crazily as possible!
1800s slip as skirt // Delia’s tee // Target espadrilles
So the winner from yesterday is... Danielle. Danielle, you have a choice of two prizes: a 4x6 print of any photo in my Etsy shop, or a month of advertising in my sidebar. Email me and we’ll work it out. :)
The vlog from today. It's a little rough because I was rushing out the door to see War Horse, but that's my day so far. xoxo!
Oh, how fun!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like SO much fun! That house is beautiful and so are all of your pictures!

Haha, I can't believe I won! I will be emailing you very soon! :)
Wow, congrats! Looks like you're having fun :)
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think you should have put on your cosmopolitan outfit that you posted a while back and worn it around, just for kicks.

ReplyDeleteHow cool! *GASP* THE HOUSE IS FULL OF GHOSTS!?!?!? I WANNA LIVE THERE SOOO BAD!!! Glad you had a great time!! So cool, so fun. Yay! Love your outfit, by the way. When I'm in New York, I'm going to dress as though I have no sense of style. That way, I'll start a fashion trend ;)

ReplyDeleteWow! Looks like so much fun! The apartment looks so nice, cool tour! I've been to New York City and it's really neat. Awesome pics Olivia! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW. WOW. Cool.
ReplyDeleteThat must be so much fun! I love the videos, it almost looks like a movie or something, ;).
Also, I just wanted to point out that you sound so cute (in lack of a better word) when you say 'Woah'. It's really funny.
New York--awesome! I've been once, when I was eleven, and it was lots of fun. Very cold, though. I'd like to go in the summer, when Central Park is actually, well, a park, or around Christmas time, because that would be simply magical.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having fun! The pictures are looking great so far. :)

ReplyDeleteI just want to get lost in that house! What a wonderful place!
Enjoy NYC!
Oh and where did you find that lovely 1800s slip? Love love love that idea!
Isn't it fun to travel in another city? I'm also miles away from home in a fancier city than my hometown. But it's nowhere as fancy as NYC. (:
ReplyDeleteWOW, I am so jealous! You know you went to see War Horse, was it War Horse by micheal Morpurgo? If so then, I've seen that, and It was amazing.
ReplyDeleteSweet pictures of the house! I saw the video this morning on youtube :)
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket you're wearing! Looks like a pretty sweet trip to N.Y. :)
