What cracks me up/makes me mad is that when I first started wearing this stuff, everyone at my school was like "why are you dressing like a hippie? Do you smoke pot? Where's your hippie bus? *lol*"
And now everyone's wearing feathers and leather; even Forever21 has hopped on the boho bandwagon. So much for individuality.
I love your hat in the 7th photo, the vintage outfit with the railroad tracks, and the last one, cause I love skirts.
ReplyDeleteI love the very last photo.... just. Wow.
ReplyDeleteyou have a great style! I am glued to your blog. Like literally.... glued, ever since a few months ago. One day i hope to see you featured in ElleGirl Japan!! So Keep it up :)

You are so beautiful, Olivia. My Mom's side of the family is a bit 'hippie', {not like peace sign and VW van hippies, but more like 'Prairie Hippies'}, so I guess I kind of grew up with a 'gypsy-esque' sort of style. I can definitely relate to you about those 'Where's your hippie bus?' comments. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways, all these ensembles blow me away. You, my friend, are stunning.
My sister's a hippy, :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if I could use that last picture for a book cover? The one with the snow; it's perfect!
I love the picture of you in the snow!
ReplyDeleteI love your style. It fits you!! And you should probably stop being gorgeous like everyday. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteJosiphine: I'd prefer if you didn't; sorry. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the last picture, both the composition and the outfit.
ReplyDeleteUgh! I know what you mean! I've always been a supporter of chic/vintage styles {but at school as you've probably noticed I don't really care what I look like so I go all bundled up in plain shorts, converse and my baggy YMCA sweatshirt...partially because I wake up ten minutes before 7am...but whatever - right?} & everyone thought it was hideous cause we had lots of girly chats in math and art and then everybody started wearing eyelets & feathers! Ugh, people infuriate me. I love them - but seriously - they need to make up their minds!!! Lovely photos by the way! & I really love the flowery/boho shirt with the red and linen embroidery! :)
ReplyDeleteDo you just take pictures of your favorite outfits when you wear them?
ReplyDeleteI tried to do that once, didn't get very far though...
I'm not a model, by any-means :)
could you GET any more pretty?? i think not. :) i love <3 your style, olivia!!
ReplyDeleteYour so pretty. :) I loved all your outfits!

Gosh, you're so darn pretty, Olivia! Totally fit to be a model... then again, you already are one. :P
ReplyDeleteI like your sense of style. It's a mix of boho/hippie and vintage. LOVE it! :)
I love your style! :) so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThat's fine, I'll find a different one, :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your style :) It's unique and it totally fits your style (if you know what I mean) :)
ReplyDeleteI KNOW RIGHT? I wore these leggings that also doubled as pants once and some female dogs sneered at me. But once I was sick of the leggings-as-pants thing, they started doing it.
ReplyDeletePlus, I started wearing fascinators before they were popularized by the Royal Wedding.
Well, it's the price of being a fashionista ;)
pretty!

Wow you are beautiful! I am so excited to have discovered your blog. You sound like the kind of person I would hope to meet on the street. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your note at the end... "even Forever21 has hopped on the boho bandwagon. So much for individuality." Alas, I have given up trying to distinguish myself as "not" indie or any other "type." For the record, I find you very much an individual, and no matter how beautiful clothes are, material things are always superficial. (Unless we're talking wool or vintage shawls. Whoops. ---Just kidding.) Another note: it should be ironic and gratifying to dress a "certain way" BEFORE the mass-produced seasonal look books are released...
