A Return

Hello, my wonderful friends!

I know what you are thinking. {Well, no, I really don't... but I can guess!} Either you are wondering if this really *is* Olive Tree, back from the dead, or you are shaking your head and saying "oh my, that girl needs to make up her mind."

I hang my head in shame, dear readers, for you are absolutely right. I can never make up my mind. I blame it on being a Libra.
I can only hope that you all will find it in your hearts to forgive me... and use that lovely little Followers gadget to show your support! When the old HorseFeathers was deleted, over 100 lovely people were following me. Now I'm afraid I've ruined that.

But oh yes: one thing I should mention. HorseFeathers will be a little different. I'll be focusing mainly on photography. A lot of photography. Reason? *takes a deep breath* Ifinallyamaprofessionalphotographer! Yes. Yes, I am very excited. I have my very own ".com" website (hosting is surprisingly little) which I will not share because it has my full name and as you may know, I have no intention of creepy stalkers coming to stab me in the night.

In addition to this I am pleased to announce that I am now a published author! I have written (and supplied photographs and art for) my very own childrens' book. I will refrain from sharing the title of the book, because it, too, bears my full name. *sobs*

Anyway. There is a poll for you all on the sidebar regarding graphic design... a word of warning! It will not be the same as before. The designs will mostly be freebies, with just three lucky custom-design winners each month. Entire makeovers will be given as prizes only.
So please, vote on the poll! Would you like Robin Blogs to return, or are you content with giveaways on this blog?

Now, time for pictures!

Well, I suppose that's all for now. I'm very happy to be back!
By the way... if any of you would care to mention me, and perhaps give a link, in your next blog post, I would be infinitely grateful.

Many hugs and blessings,
Olive tree

  10. I had a question, how did you get your posting area so wide? If you no what I mean?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh, that was simple. All I had to do was change the width of what's called the "main-wrapper" in the HTML code and the header, footer, and outer-wrapper so that it would align.

  54. I'm so glad you're back, Olive Tree. It's been a delight having you in the Blogger world, and the return of a wonderful Blogger is always great!!
Amazing pics. Do you think you could tell me what type of camera you use? I want to save up to buy a nice one soon!
Thanks, and glad to have you back,
    ~Emma

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hi Emma! Right now I use the Nikon D60 with either a 15-50mm or 50-200mm lens. The entire thing cost maybe $1,000. However I am saving (again) for a Nikon D5000, which is significantly more.

For just starting out, I recommend the Nikon D40. :) It's on Amazon for pretty cheap. But be sure you don't just buy the BODY... get at least one lens and a case as well. Plus a 2G or higher memory card.

  56. *cheers* Congrats Olive Tree! Welcome back and good luck with your career!
