Inspiration (Photography Contest)

All right, everyone, are you ready for a party?



Polls show that people would like a photography contest in celebration of 100 Followers (which has now swollen to 116!). The prize? Something from my Etsy shop!

So here is your challenge, dear readers. This photography contest has an interesting subject: Inspiration. What (or who) inspires you? Post your photo(s) on your blog with a quick explanation - under 200 words each - of why the photo (or the subject of the photo, rather) inspires you. No more than 2 entries per person, please. Obviously it must be your own, original work.

The contest will go for a little less than two weeks. It ends at midnight, EST, on July 23. The photos will be judged by me and by an impartial non-blogger, Samantha. First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded, as well as a few Honorable Mentions.

First Prize: Your photo will be featured in the sidebar for one week, you will receive an award featuring your photo, and either  this lovely necklace from my Etsy shop or a 4x6 print of ANY photograph in my Etsy store is yours!

Second Prize: You will receive an award featuring your photo, and a $10 gift certificate to use on anything in my Etsy shop (if you win I will explain the way that will work).

Third Prize: You will receive an award featuring your photo.

Honorable Mention people will receive an award.


How to Enter:

  1. You must be a Follower of HorseFeathers.
  2. Publish a post on your blog including the photos and their description.
  3. Enter the URL of the post and your name into the McLinky below.
  4. Results will be announced on the 24th.

    Thats awesome! I would enter, but I can't since I don't have a blog. I will have lots of fun looking at other's blogs, their pictures, and their inspirations. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
