fe·ver·ish (fvr-sh)
adj.2. excited, restless, or uncontrolled, as if from fever.
1.
a. Of, relating to, or resembling a fever.b. Having a fever or symptoms characteristic of a fever.c. Causing or tending to cause fever
Yum. So yes, I do have a fever. Not a high one — right now it's 99.3ºF. For most people that wouldn't be a big deal. But my average body temperature is 96.5-ish.
And I rarely get fevers. Rarely. It just doesn't happen with me. So when I have a fever — even a little one — it gets really weird up there in my brain.

Um, yeah. Not awesome. Not at all.
This, I put a warning out to my friends. My Google chat status at the moment is:
I have a fever right now and am therefore not responsible for my actions. Anything I do or say must be taken with a grain of salt. Plus I hallucinated about a purple elf yesterday (in fever), which was weird.
This should apply to Blogger too. It is quite likely that not much in this post will make sense to anyone.
Anyway, today (thanks to my fever and horrible nausea) I did not attend school for our second day of Spirit Week, in which we were supposed to dress as celebrities. So instead of being an incredibly awesome Ke$ha, I watched approximately six hours of BBC's Planet Earth. Which is lovely, but is not Ke$ha. Really, it is an awesome series. The narrator is British, and that makes him very cool in my eyes. I love British accents. (To my British readers: Do you guys think we Americans have odd accents too?)
So. In a nutshell, today I stared at my laptop screen, pet my cat, and took my temperature frequently.
And not much else.
Isn't the flu so fun?
aww, I hope you get better Olivia!
ReplyDeleteI stick around 96.5—97ºF.
ReplyDeleteHaha, well, get well soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you recover. I am sick, and thankfully I almost better.
ReplyDeleteblessings.
Oh no! Fevers are not fun at all. =( I hope you feel a lot better and I will be praying for you! =)
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for you to get better, Olivia!
ReplyDeletePurple Christmas Elves aren't as bad as Tash from Narnia. Seeing HIM is not pleasant.
:( I'm sorry you feel sick!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll pray for your quick recovery!!!

I like the Earth series too :D :D
ReplyDeleteGet better soon!
Get some rest...
Hope you get better :)
ReplyDeleteMay I ask how you get the margins on your blog so wide? I can't figure it out :S Thanks
xx
Ellie
I have a fever too...it isn't fun..I am praying for you Oliva!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon :(
ReplyDeleteawww, feel better! :)
ReplyDeleteA purple elf. Interesting. ;) I've heard my sisters moan in the night - but no purple elves.
ReplyDeletePoor you! Put on your fuzzy socks and something warm to drink. ;)
ick! i'm sorry :( hope you feel better! :)
ReplyDeleteSo many sick people in one week! What to do, what to do... I hope you get better. Not "feel" better. You see, if you "feel" better, that doesn't mean the problem goes away. That means that the problem is still hiding somewhere (like in a purple elf's sock or something) and you're only feeling better. Now when you "get" better, you "feel" better AND you ARE better.
ReplyDeleteSo get better! Tell the elf I said hi!
Sincerely,
Brooke
P.S
I like that purple elf. I'm not making fun of you, I just really think it's fascinating. He should be the star of a movie or something because now all I want to do is meet a purple elf! I think I'm going crazy.
I'm so sorry, Olivia! Purple elves are very interesting hallucinations; my fever dreams mainly consist of a 'floating' feeling. I can never quite remember them when I feel better... Snuggle up under a warm blanket and have a mug of hot chocolate - whipped cream and marshmallows are optional. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm British, and, yes, to me, Americans have *wonderful* accents. It's so strange to think that Americans think the same about us Brits... Wow. Interesting!
Hugs!
Swirly xx
Hey Olivia, I hope you feel better soon!! I'm just getting a cold. It wasn't one of those colds where you have lots of sniffles. I had LOTS of sniffling, a very sore throat, bad headaches, and I probably ran a bit of a temperature, but I was too sick to find out:-) I just drank lots of tea, lemon juice with honey, and ate lots of citrus...anyway, I hope you feel better soon!!!

P.S. You're post made a LOT of sense, haha don't worry;)
Ick. I hate being sick. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm not British, but Irish. And I don't mean to critisice you, but what American people genrally think are British accents are English accents. Scotland, for example, sounds nothing like an English accent, but is still part of Britian. Make sense?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you feel better soon!
Love,
Maeve
LOL my older sister goes kinda wacky when she she is sick (yeah she get's beyond wacky) too!
