heartbreaker.

Around here, when it looks like spring is on the way and suddenly a huge wave of snow dashes everyone's hopes, it's called a "heartbreaker snowstorm". And that's pretty much what happened to us this morning.

Yesterday and the day before it was all sunshine and melting snow... there was almost none left.

// dress: vintage (1959) //

this was shot over my shoulder, without looking. decent.
i... am... chicken whisperer...
never mind.

yeah, that's a Croc... *shudder* trust me, I only wear them around the chickens.
the great photographer himself... attacked by chickens. rawr.
it was even so warm yesterday i was walking around in shorts and a tank top.
Yes, yes. Those were the days. It was 69º F yesterday, INCREDIBLE.

This morning?

  1. :( I'm so sorry.

I've never seen snow in my entire life. I don't know what it smells like or tastes like, or the mthod of making the perfect snow ball. It's like -- 80 degrees here. I'd love to live where you are. :P we should switch out for a week.

    xx,
    Bleah

  2. Aw... where I live, it dropped like twenty degrees in one day. We didn't get a snowstorm, but it's pretty chilly! :( Poor Olivia.

  9. Ugh, aren't those heartbreaker storms the worst?! In Oklahoma, where I live, the weather changes so, so quickly...a few weeks ago, it was 75 and then we got over a foot of snow a few days later. Sigh. I feel your pain!

  12. We don't have heartbreaker storms much in NC. We get heartbroken over the lack of snow when we want it.

Not to make you jealous or anything but it's 70 degrees where I live and it was 85 yesterday.

  14. Wow, something similar (and less extreme) happened to us. Yesterday, it's 80 degrees F, and today it's back down to 60. :( Luckily, it's supposed to get warmer again tommorow.

LOVE that dress! It's so cute. :)

  16. Too bad about the snow :(
The last time I saw snow was when I was 6 (we went up the mountains). I was only there for a day, though, but I can imagine it getting a bit annoying when it's around for 3 long months. Not to mention it melting and coming back the next day!!

I love your dress... your blog... you!

  20. i'm weeping with you, friend. seriously.
and those chickens? they bring back memories. we had chickens the 1st couple of years we lived on our 3 acre "farm" {with no animals...except a inside cat}. the ending of the story? tragic. :(
