LIFE // so, if the world's gonna end tomorrow...

... which according to everyone in my school, it totally is...

... then there's a big moral question for everyone to consider.

Here in Maine there is exactly nine hours until midnight, when the skies will open up and who-knows-what will (supposedly) begin.

What are you going to do with your nine hours?

Do you go to sleep? Do something exciting? Live your normal life because you don't care?

I'm really interested in your responses. I'm more of a Nostradamus girl myself, so if the world is going to end anytime soon it will be in 2012, because then at least I will legally be able to drive as far. away. as possible.

Or buy a boat. Because right now I have exactly seventy dollars (thanks beautiful amazing people from yesterday's sale!) and I will need to save up.

2012 is just so much more convenient. ;)

So today, I wore my hair in a bun (gasp) because I made the mistake of brushing it last night and I ended up looking like Emma Watson before she became drop-dead-gorgeous...

... and I wore jeans and boots and a plain black shirt. I was pretty much the cliche of "lazy day fashion blogger chick". I did doodle on my hand to make myself a little fancier. Ahem... bad cell phone pic.

So what about you? What will you do with your remaining nine hours?

xoxo

  1. Well, I'm going to say that I don't actually believe in judgement day or anything, so if the end of the world is tomorrow? I'll probably go up in flames. But I've just had the best night in ages, dinner out with my parents, my brother & his girlfriend. Lots of laughter, the kind that leaves you snorting out lemonade, lots of inside jokes, the kind that make sense only to you, and of course lots of good food. To me, that's a pretty perfect last day on earth!

  2. I'll probably continue to live life normally . . . unless something spectacular comes up. :P

(Coincidence: I was just reading a book about the end of the world--Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.)

  3. I'm planning on watching Pirates with my bff and my baby sister, because, you know, if the world's gonna end, I wouldn't be opposed to spending my last few hours watching Johnny Depp.

  4. the world isn't ending tomorrow...I promise.

Jesus said no one knows the day of his return- Mt. 24:36.

  5. Haha. Soo many people have predicted this day since the beginning of time. And all were wrong. :P What about 2012?? I thought THAT was the year of the world's end? I'm afraid that no one knows when the world will end, obviously..only God. :) "It will come like a thief in the night." But I have no reason to be scared, or worried, because I know that He has me in His care! :o) BUT, if this WAS true, and I *knew* I had exactly nine hours..I would probably tell everyone how much I loved them, and gather all of my friends and family and just have a huge partayy together. :) And I would spend all my money..on..who knows what. :]

Yup. I'd also tell everyone I knew about Jesus. <3

  6. I SO agree with Kiley! I'm not too worried. :)

  7. If the world was ending I would go visit every family member I have and enjoy the last few hours hanging out with them :) family is everything to me. But I honestly don't think the world is ending ;)

  8. Yup, I agree with Kiley.

Nobody knows WHEN it's going to end... it could just as well end today or in 500 years as tomorrow.

So today I took pictures, did school, and have an orchestra concert in about 5 hours. Normal day. :)

  9. Dropping off goats to a goat show tomorrow, which I know I'm going to,cause like the others said according to the Bible the world isn't ending tomorrow....cause NO ONE will know when Jesus comes..and the world isn't as bad as I imagine Rev. makes it out to be, (christians aren't being tortured in every part of the world we don't have the same money and ONE World dictator.) and I'm going to watch stranded with a friend and sister tonight..maybe..we may not watch it.

  10. Um...I'm pretty sure I'm gonna live my life like I normally do. I know your pain about the hair!!! Mine looks exactly like that when I brush it after it's been curly. I really hate it too! :)

  11. Thank you, Kiley!
Tomorrow? I'll be sitting on my couch watching "scholars" on TV ponder over why their predictions weren't correct, making themselves look like idiots. Because God says that no one knows the second, hour, day, month, or year of His return.
There was once a book called "90 reasons why the world will end in 1990."
Looks to me like it didn't.
Just my respectful and reserved opinion on the issue.

  12. Well, even though I am Christian, I'm not so sure it's tomorrow. I'm with Kiley. No one knows the day of Jesus's return.

But if it is, I've just spent the entire day with my BFF, her two cats, and her little sister. We watched Jurrasic Park 3. ~<3

I totally forgot we were all dying tomorrow;)

    whoopsies.

haha, and I so agree, anything but tommorrow. I'm getting my learner's permitt soon! I can't possibly die before I learn to drive!! ;D

  15. If God decides that the world is going to end tomorrow then sweet, because I'll be going to heaven, but if not, then awesome, because that's how God wants it. That's my belief anyways. I guess you kinda have to take it or leave it. :)

  16. In the next nine hours of my life? Mess around on the computer, eat, sleep and wake up tomorrow.

I am with Kiley above! Nobody knows when Jesus will return. ^_^

  17. make sure I've repented and confessed all my sins;
don't want to miss the rapture. xD

  18. Yeah, that's pretty much how my hair looks in this humidity. :P Which means I will die with puffy hair. Woe is me. Anyway, I like your nails!

  19. I don't know. BUT....I am pretty sure that the is NOT going to end today.
(hopefully not cause I have auditions for a musical) :) ;p

  20. Well, I'm not too worried, cuz if it really is my last day on Earth, who cares!!!!!!! I'm going to Heaven to spend eternity with my Savior Jesus!!! woot woot! Couldn't ask for anything better, I'll tell you that. :)

Your hand is sorta creeping me out. Just thot I'd say that. LOL

    Love,
    Manda
can we see a pic of you with your hair in a bun?? pretty pretty please?!?!? Thanks! ;D

  21. I don't believe in Judgement Day, but if I did, it would be pretty hilarious because my 14th birthday is actually tomorrow! So I better live it up in case I don't turn 14 and maybe I'll celebrate my birthday a little in advance. ;)

  22. All this talk about the world ending tomorrow, is utter nonsense. Jesus said we won't know the day or hour of The Father returning... there for tomorrow is NOT my last day on earth. Although, if it ends tomorrow at least I had an amazing day with my boyfriend today. ;)

  23. Honestly, it's impossible to predict when Jesus will come. However, I must say that if He does (and it won't be at all tied to human predictions)I'll pound out a hymn on the piano and start to eat ice cream because weight doesn't matter if the world's going to end. =)

  24. Emma Watson was always nice looking, she went from adorable chipmunk to beautiful girl!!!

Anyway, I don't know what I'm doing in the next nine hours, probably preparing to laugh really hard when the world doesn't end. Just kidding.

I think I'll be watching Harry Potter. Seriously.

  25. hmmm... I never really thought about what I'd do. Oh, well. I'll figure it out someday. ;) Ah- frizzy hair! Yeah, it happens to me all the time when I brush mine. the curse of curly hair...

  26. I don't think the world will end tommorow - "For who shall endure the day of his coming?..." - Malachi 3:2. So, technically, the world won't end tommorow. But it is a very interesting thought, isn't it? If the world WAS to end tommorow, I would go visit all my friends, wear pointe shoes the rest of the day, and spend all my money. =)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

  27. I don't believe in God, so I don't think the world shall end tomorrow what-so-ever, but who knows! Maybe Zeus will kill us all, haha! But seriously, no one knows. Anything could happen.

I think that the world may end up dying of natural causes or nuclear bombs if anything, and not any time soon.

  28. Live life normally.."the world is going to end!!" has been predicted too many times...it's never true.

    ReplyDelete
  29. If I believed the world was gonna end, I guess I'd spend my time with my family.

  30. Unless Darren Criss shows up at my house riding a purple unicorn I'm pretty sure I'll be living life as normal as always.

  31. I agree with Kiley. The world's not going to end tomorrow. That guy who came up with all that is just guessing. It's supposed to end tomorrow, October 21st, December 21st of next year. What, does he expect to earth to be a cat or something? Because the earth can't have nine lives. And anyway, the earth doesn't have my permission to end. I have things to do next week ;) :P

  33. what will I be doing? I'm going to sleep so I'll be prepared for job training tomorrow.

  34. And by the way, I wouldn't mind being entertained by (Capt.) Jack Sparrow either.

  35. I've been babysitting and I am babysitting again tomorrow, so it better not be ending!! They didn't teach us how to handle the end of the world in babysitting class haaha (plus the people I'm babysitting for are going to a wedding! How depressing would it be for the world to end the day you got married?).

In all seriousness though, I don't believe the world will end. I'm not big into Jesus or anyhting, but I don't believe it at all. This guy has predicted the "End" before and just changes his formula when he is proven wrong.

But hey, if it does, atleast I won't have to take finals....;)

  36. Well...I'm spending my last hours with the most important person in the world to me..which is my son..and probably just be lazy and watch tv and fall sleep holding him..YEAH..that's all.
    Great post girl.

  39. I think it's pretty presumptuous for any man to think he can predict God's return.

Gonna go listen to more Lady Gaga and work on an illustration commission. ;) Nice hair.

  40. Brooke, God is real you just can't see him but you can sometimes feel him and hear him talk to you,

It says in the Bible that Jesus will come down and rescue all of the people who love and believe in him. And then her will give all the other people who don't love him, another chance to get to no him.

And, I don't believe in the rapture anyway, so that cuts out like what everyone else believes ;).
