#39, Kady.

Carlotta is one of my very favorite bloggers, and I love her photography to death. One lucky winner will win not one, not two, but FOUR 4x6" prints of any four photos from her shop! I want.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Carlotta. I'm a blogger (pastor's girl's ponderings), writer, photographer, designer, and the daughter of a pastor. I call the wind swept plains of Oklahoma my home, and while I'm content to live in the city, there's that part of me that longs to live a life of simplicity out in the country. I blame it on the fact that I was born and spent the first nine years of my life in southeast Texas -- I still consider myself a Texan.
Everywhere I look, I see beauty. Capturing my life and expressing myself through photography is like a balm to the creative wants of my soul. Without a camera in hand, I'd be lost.
Words fascinate me. In a combination of a few simple letters, so many things can be conveyed. Words define us. And sculpting words to form something beautiful, a work of art, is a passion of mine.
Even though it's blurred when it gets tough, I'm hopelessly in love with life and this chance we have to make an impact on the world.
It's a pleasure to meet you.

What do you most enjoy creating?
My favorite things to create are photographs. While my people don't generally consider photographers as artists, we really are. We may not paint with brush strokes, but we instead paint with light, color, and perspective. The satisfying feeling of a photograph that turned out perfectly is my favorite.

What inspires you?
Everything. Life inspires me. People inspire me. Nature inspires me. Many people automatically pin only negative thoughts to blogging, feel guilty about it. While there are a few not-so-great things about it, the good far outweighs the bad. Without blogging, I wouldn't pay so much attention to the little things and discover what it truly means to be inspired. That may sound a bit silly, but it's really true for me.
