Inspiration Photography Contest: Winners!

(So sorry for the delay... I had an unforeseen trip that I literally *just* got back from!)

Remember this?

This is insane. The contest started to celebrate 100 Followers, and in just two weeks I've gained more than half again as many friends... wow! Thank you, everyone!

I received a whopping 34 talented entries. Wow! I was expecting, like, 15... thanks, everyone!

Would you like to know who won, dear readers? Yes? That's what I thought... I shan't leave you hanging. Without further ado, I announce...

Honorable Mention:

Congratulations! You three may take the below button.

Third Place

I extend my sincere congratulations to...
"My grandma is one of my main sources for inspiration because even know she is gone physically, her spirit resides in me. She inspires me daily to do my best in everything I do, and be the best person I can be. I know she is still here when I get an A on a test, and when my parents are proud of me. She makes it possible. I know her spirit resides in the picture below. Those are her rosary beads, which she gave to me."

Second Place

The winner of Second Place (and of a $10 gift certificate to my Etsy shop) is...
"Do I really have to explain this photo and it's source of inspiration? There's a depth to it that I hope that I got in some way. Vivid colors. A sunset. Silhouetted. Night sky. Vacation. Family. God's glory. So much beauty out there. And it's all just waiting to be seen."

Hannah, I will contact you about your prize. Meanwhile, please take this button.

And now...
*drumroll please*

First Place!

A small note before I announce the winner...
The two prizes were either the dolphin necklace or a 4x6 print from my Etsy shop. Well, I have added another option: a full blog makeover by Robin Blogs!
So... the winner:
"This picture inspires me because it reminds me of God's care for us. The care with which my brother is holding the little bird, the trust in the bird's eye... this is a perfect example of God's care for me. I know I need not fear, since my life is held secure in God's hands. He's always got me, even when I want to struggle and try to fly on my own. I just have to trust Him."

Melody, I will contact you about your prize. Please take this button.

This is dedicated to Pugsly, and my park. They are still amazing and I'll never forget them.

Even though I'm an agnostic I really do like Melody's photos! I love the little bird ;-D

  13. Oh, wow...so many talented photographers!
I'm so glad you posted--I love your blog.

I ALSO love your Etsy shop--it is so cute!

AND, I've been meaning to ask what camera you use. My sister and I want to buy a 'real' camera and stop borrowing our grampa's--he has an Olympus, but I'm not sure of the specs. I've been asking around what the best one would be, and thought I would ask you.

By the way, thanks for following my blog. ( :

Geez, this was a long comment.

    love,

  18. Wow, I got up this morning and was going to ask you the same thing Olive Tree! I'll have to look at that. My brother has promised me he's going to buy me a camera $500 or less (for many reasons) as soon as he gets his first job (he's almost 16) and I chose that I'd like a Coolpix P90! Dreamstar uses it and I love her photos (and it's also not that expensive) so I'm going to get one.
