INSPIRATION // it's hard to dance with the devil on your back

I was horribly lazy this week. I admit it. I posted nothing, did basically nothing, wore nothing exciting. Sorry about that.

But I did collect some gorgeous photos for you. So let it be known:
I went shopping today,
I bought some pretty things (and non-prescrip glasses so I can pretend to be hipster; see the end of the post),
I'll do an outfit post later,
I'm planning a big photography + fashion project (no, I will not tell you),
and Florence + the Machine's new(ish) single sets the perfect mood for these images.

So tally ho and be inspired.

» images from various sources, including oracle fox, devorelebeaumonstre, and le happy. i failed to take note of the others in my voyages around the interwebs, so if you can credit them then please comment. «

I'm in the food court at the mall, by the way. Believe it or not, some of my clothing actually comes from normal-people stores and not Goodwill/my basement/my grandmother's stashes.
Not most of it though.

  4. i don't like most of those styles you've posted, but it's always good to see other people's opinion and inspiration when it comes to fashion.

  5. ever heard of 'Florence + the Machine's 'What the Water Gave Me'? I heard its a song Georgie Henley likes, and she got Abbie Breslin into liking it, too. lol
Since the pics are taking a bit to load, I will come back at 3 and comment on the pictures. :)

    Love,

  14. I think the pictures are eerie, but in a really gorgeous way. You look great in the last picture, by the way. I have a pair of glasses like yours, but they're black and white. I didn't know what hipster was when I bought them.

  16. Lovely post. Creepy, weird, though intriguing. I'm sensing a 90's wiccan vibe here...? Enjoying your blog and photography. Keep up the awesomeness!

  20. Hi, Olivia (:

I know this is off the topic, but I was curious-how old were you when you started wearing makeup and what did you use {eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, lipstick, etc}.
